Relieving Eye Strain After A Work Day

Staring at a screen all day unfortunately doesn't do our eyes much good, but it's the reality for most working people! Whilst we can't just stop staring at our screens all together, here are some tips on how to relieve strained eyes at the end of the work day.


What is Eye Strain?

Eye strain is a common condition that causes the eyes to be come irritated due to overuse. Symptoms my include dryness or itchiness, twitching, a headache and/or blurred vision.


How can I relieve Eye Strain?

There are a few things you can do to relieve and prevent the symptoms of eye strain. Some of these are:

  • Wear blue light filter glasses when you are working

  • Take frequent screen breaks throughout the day

  • Give your eyes a gentle massage (Dr Sam shows you how here)

  • Adjust the lighting around your workspace

  • Use eye drops, if applicable
