3 ways to get dry eye relief

Dry eyes aren't an uncommon eye issue, and in most cases, this condition is not detrimental to your vision and eye health. It can, however, be extremely uncomfortable and disruptive of your daily activities. Luckily it's fairly easily managed, and here are our top 3 ways to get dry eye relief:

1. Use Eye Drops

Eye drops are liquid drops, usually containing a saline solution to match the salinity f your eye - that can be used to lubricate the surface of the eye for additional moisture. A few drops is applied directly to the surface of the eye. Most eye drop are available in chemists and supermarkets and can provide immense relief for dry eye sufferers. 2. Stay Hydrated If you suffer from dry eye, it might be an indication that your hydration levels are low. Water is essential for organ function, and when you don't have sufficient water in your body, you may stop producing tears to keep your eyes moist. We recommend keeping a full bottle of water on your desk or in your bag and try and finish the whole thing within a set amount of time. 3. Take regular screen breaks

Screens are notoriously bad for causing dry eye. When you're working and looking at a screen for an extended period of time (and without even noticing) you're less likely to blink frequently, which is an essential action for mitigating dry eye. That's why we suggest taking regular screen breaks where you look at something non-digital. Take a walk, fix yourself a snack, look out a window or play with a pet. Take regular screen breaks throughout the day.
